Why is it so difficult for American Companies to enter certain Asian markets and export their products?

It is very difficult for American companies as well as other foreign companies to enter and export their products into certain Asian countries.  The main reason is trust. Most Asian countries are very risk averse in their business dealings.

Global Product Pros has been working in the Asian markets for over 15 years.  We have established solid working relationships with many long-standing retailers and importers so that you don’t have to start from scratch to establish trust.  We’ve already put in the years of work and relationship building so that you don’t have to.

What does Global Product Pros do to insure that American companies are paid for the products they export to Asian markets?

We remove this risk from our suppliers entirely.  Most, if not all, the product we purchase is already purchased from us by our foreign partners.  This allows us to pay you up front… even before the product ever leaves your warehouse. 

This is probably GPP’s biggest advantage for opening safe markets overseas. Because of our solid relationships with foreign retailers and importers we can pay for products to be exported before they leave a distributor or manufacturer’s facility.  If we haven’t been paid upfront, we provide the credit terms to our foreign partners thereby removing risk from American exporters.  Importers trust that GPP will deliver quality products with fair terms and at a reasonable margin.  The trust we have built with our experience in Asian markets is our biggest asset.

How difficult is it to ship products overseas and who deals with customs clearance and other logistical problems?

We take care of all the shipping, customs clearing, and logistical issues. We also have established relationships with trusted, secure Asian couriers. Products are always shipped domestically to secure warehousing. We then take care of all aspects of exporting to foreign countries.

What are the costs and fees to get set up with GPP?

Our services are essentially free to you the producer / supplier.  They are actually totally free unless you consider a reduced price to us based on sheer volume.  We are fine with paying YOUR standard prices for the amount we are buying.  We don’t ask for special treatment, only a fair market price.

Most of the markets we are working with have more than enough pricing room to add the margin we need to run a good business.

Why don’t the foreign companies work directly with the US suppliers?

They could, and some do.  We have a channel developed with trusted business partners on both sides.  We aren’t looking to work with every business.  We are just looking to work with the RIGHT business.  All the other services we provide - overseas sales, import and export rules and regs, accounts receivables, collections, time zones, communications, and language barriers - make us an invaluable link in the chain.  Try us out.  You’ll see.
